Loving Global mode, thanks Orcon.

I have not been able to get BBC iPLayer to cast to my Chromecast, whenever I try I just get the messgae "Ready to cast", the content plays on the PC but not on the Chromecast.

I assumed that this was becuase the Chromecast uses the Google public DNS servers so I have blocked them (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) using static routes but still no luck.

Is there any way I can test that the Google DnS servers are blocked? Is there another better way to block them?

Is there something else I could try?

Using Orcon Genius Black.

Thanks in advance.

PS, just noticed that this doesn't happen when watching "live" TV on iPlayer, you don't get the Chromecast icon on the video, meaning you can locally cast the tab to the chromecast, then it works fine.

I am also having this problem when casting the iPlayer website from Chrome on a PC to a TV with Chromecast.

The iPlayer appears on the TV, but does not start. Just get a message "ready to cast."

Probably related to the fact that the Android iPlayer app doesn't work. A different origin server to the web player which isn't proxied, I'd guess.
