I've been a happy 2Degrees prepaid customer for a few years, but now I have moved to a small rural town in Southland where only Telecom/Spark is available. So I have bought a Spark SIM card and am about to bring my 2Degrees number to it.
Now, I have some unused balance on the 2Degrees account (actually, the $ balance is zero but there is a data pack that I have not used up yet). What will happen to it? Will I still be able to connect using 2Degrees SIM and use the data pack up once the number is taken by Spark?

Hi, sorry to hear about the lack of signal down there. Where exactly are you?
Your value pack or any other Prepay balance will not move over to your account with Spark.
Use it up before you port your number out, if poss.
Regards

2degreesCare: Where exactly are you?

Otautau. There is some barely usable signal in the centre of the town (roaming through Vodafone), but if you walk 200-300 metres away the signal disappears.
Funnily enough, in Nightcaps, which is even smaller town 22km to the North, 2Degrees works perfectly.
Thanks for the clarification re remaining data pack balance.
