Yes since thursday last week... the speed is just extremely bad for international traffic... and was OK for national untill today :(

I called on Friday night and was told there're issues with getaway.

I'm calling tech guys right now.

i called snap yesterday regarding this and i was told they "did" some tweaks to the network on friday or thursday. then i was told to call back on monday as there's no technician working on the weekends. as i was about to call snap today, i went over to a forum and checked and saw someone called up snap and snap didnt mention anything bout tweaking the network to him then told him that there's too many user on night owl so its getting slow, so if u wan faster speed u should pay more and upgrade ur plan to their current offering plans. from wat i've been told and wat they're telling others, i'm sure snap is doing this intentionally to force most or some of the night owl users to move plans (creating a scenario that bandwidth has been used up) Wink. as far as i can see, this problem will be here for a while till enough users call snap and complain OR enough users change their plans or switch ISP Tongue out

I hope SNAP won't get BAD as WOOSH and SNAP won't turn back on customers :(

this is done intentionally by them to force us to switch plan

so .. bottom line, we have 3 choice

A. LIVE WITH IT
B. Change your plan
C. Pay the disconnection fee and switch ISP

Money mouth

Same issue here, can't get more than about 40-50ks since Friday night. Just spoken to SNAP support and was given the run-around. He wouldn't tell me what was going on but was well aware that other people on this plan had the same problem. I asked how the problem could be resolved and was told I could switch to another plan.
This is the same rubbish we were getting from Woosh.

I was with snap until last week but I disconnected without paying the disconnection fee because of the slow speeds and then they offered me 1 month free but I still said no and disconnected but they let me keep my free modem that they replaced my old orcon modem with.

alert: This is the same rubbish we were getting from Woosh.

When will people ever learn that you Get What You Pay For.

Those who sign up for an "Unlimited" plan are expecting to get something for nothing i.e. Lots of data for a small amount of money.

The price you pay is performance Frown

As many people have said before, there are 3 things to choose from with an internet connection but you can only have 2 at once:

-  Large Data Cap
-  Lots of Bandwidth
-  Cheap Price

CHOOSE ANY TWO

yup. again and again it's been said...
having said that i do believe one day NZ can enjoy uncapped broadband - but alas perhaps in the days of our children's children?

night owl user here..

havent really had too many speed issues. a few speed tests to LA and San Francisco tonight are around the 900 to 1000 kb/s mark.

my max line speed is generally around 4500 kb/s . tests to auck, welly have been around 3300 kb/s

though i can max my bandwidth from RapidShare at anytime between 7pm and 7am and i usually schedule my downloads in early hours so when im off to work in the morn, its all done Smile

so no real complaints from me

To the ones with slow speeds... is your IP static? 'coz mine seems to be like static... I've rebooted my router and disconected connection, nothing helps to get different IP... previously every disconection followed with new IP. and also I'm in Auckland.. but speedtest suggests that I'm SNAPs Wellington user... :( Also SNAP's BW statistic does not work.

currently I can not get more than 1mbit for national and 500kbit for international :(

Yep. Is your IP in the range 202.36.220.0 - 202.36.221.255 ? Mine was just shifted there and ever since I've had terrible speeds.
