does anyone remember how much they were charged on their first slingshot bill?
when I signed up about a month ago now i was charged 29.95 straight away that needed
to be paid within 10days for broadband? which i was told is the one months in advance

but wondering why my bill is now 132
i have everyday 29.95
homeline 47.00
maintenance 2.00

and no extra charges on top of that as far as I know I cant work out how its 132 bucks
or even see on their visibill online the breakdown of charges or when any of this is due

You might need to phone the helpdesk to work that one out.

Could it be extra datablocks?
If you sign into Slingshots main website and look in My Accounts, under Manage Usage
and check that the auto purchase datablocks is turned off.

Unless you turn it off, extra blocks will be added to your account when you reach your cap.

If it's your first invoice, there's probably an element of pro-rata charging being applied as well.

Can you message me with your account number and I'll take a look for you :)

Hey Nik thanks for your help appreciate itLaughing

I ended up having to phone through just now and spoke with about 3 people about a
couple of issues and as I cannot open pdf files opted to get the paperbill sent out to me
instead.  I thought you could request or cancel a paperbill online through my account but
the customer service rep couldn't find the option either so I guess I'll have to phone
if I want to cancel paperbill services was not informed on if theres a charge also but im
taking a guess that its $1 from somewhere I read on the website.

I understand more with your explanation on how to read my visibill
The phone ops weren't that helpful to me today or the other few times I have had to phone
the call centre. I was put through to the credit depart but after 30mins on hold hung up
and called back 0800892000 wanting to know how many days customers have to pay
an invoice in full as there is no way I can afford to pay my full amount in 10 days being
the first invoice with extra charges pro rata as you said.

So i just spoke to a normal rep ( not in credit depart) who
told me if the full invoice isn't paid within 15 days from the invoice date so
8th of August + 15days my account
will be suspended is this correct?

suspension doesn't kick in until you're quite seriously overdue, but it's always better to be up to date ;-)

If you can't open the .pdf files you'll need to get your hands on something like Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader :)

And yes, paper invoices are $1 per month. CSR's can add/cancel that service at any stage.

If you get CSRs that aren't particularly helpful, let me know and I'll follow up with that CSR 'cause they should know this sort of thing! :)

Thanks Nik

I remember speaking to someone called kyle i think who tried to explain to me
when things would be suspended he connected me through to credit depart
when I hung up waiting.

Kyle did say after 15 days from invoice date account would be suspended
but lost me from there because when I called earlier about 15mins beforehand and spoke
with someone else they told me it should be paid in 10days after invoice date but
i had 30days at the most to have it paid in full which of course it will be but never mentioned
anything about a suspension because I said it'll be paid by the end of the month well within 15 days
of invoice date!

Been trying to sort this out somehow but had 2 people telling me 2 different things
just wanting to know whats what because i dont want to get stuck with extra charges
again on my next bill

Foxit is not much smaller than Adobe to be honest; you might be better off creating a Google account and using http://docs.google.com. That way you can upload the .pdf files and view them that way.

Though if it's getting to that point, you may as well just use Visibill and not worry about the .pdf invoices :)

I'd recommend foxit over adobe any day., foxit installer is 5 meg, adobe is 50 meg. If a pdf reader needs something to start with windows just to make it faster they're doing something wrong..

I looked earlier at http://docs.google.com/ to open my slingshot invoice that was sent to me
via email but the view
was all wrong and being as I am not that great with computers and all I couldn't
figure out how to view the page properly it was all showing in one column all over the place

on the link u posted it says Enter a document URL below to generate a link to view it

where would i find the URL for my slingshot invoice ? in my email its just asking me to view
as html or scan and download
http://docs.google.com/viewer

p.s i can view the invoice as an HTML but its all scrambled nothing is in line so I can't read it
properly if that make sense.
