Linux:

sangha: It is $85 per month. $75 if you have a pay monthly plan.

@sangha Of course $75 includes the $10 pay monthly discount

Ha, and , if you want to avoid CGNAT (which is free with spark and some other ISP's), that is another $10.... so, price is $95, which is only $4 a month cheaper than voyager when comparing apples to apples!

Have just been on the phone with 2Degrees to re-sign at the lower rate.

Note to all that (apparently) you don't get 12 months of Prime Video when you re-sign, if you've had it previously. Apparently, you only get that once. Perhaps this could be made clear on your website, @morganbrowne?

@Resnick:

I am on an open term contract. I have just got off the phone with customer care after being told that this applied to new customers only and I would have to disconnect and rejoin in order to get the new deal.

@morganbrowne can clarify if this is the case? Some people managed to get the new price when re-signing, others didn't.

Was it a straightforward re-sign process? It seemed like there was no way the rep was going to offer me the new deal although I was in a bit of a rush.

Hi! Good point, I just checked the page terms which state:

Broadband Amazon Prime Video:

Amazon Prime Video on us for 12 months: Valid for 12 months after date of activation (currently up to $8.99/month value). Offer subject to change.  Prime Video offer must be activated within 30 days of the customer receiving the activation link email. After 12 months, standard charge for Prime Video of $8.99 per month will apply. 12 month term and Unlimited Broadband required to be eligible.

So the terms do state it is for 12 months. I will pass the feedback on to our legal and website teams though - thanks.

@morganbrowne - yes, and one would naturally expect that signing a new 12 month contract would again qualify you for 12 months of Prime.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

@Resnick - it was. Rep had to go away and check, but other than insisting I wouldn't get Prime Video the process was completed in a couple of minutes.

I did still re-sign (under minor protest) as this will save us $25 a month from the current price we're charged.

Either in the 2Degrees app, or by logging into your account. Under "Summary".

I got roped in, and then realised it was for on account only. @freitasm worth putting a note in the headline - "on account customers only"?

without account makes it $10 more. still a good deal without and seems to be standard telco pricing and advertising.
