Of course, if you're an existing customer it's $106. 🤦

Guess I'll have to call and "negotiate"

If you are out of contract term then you can resign for another 12 months at $75 per month

Any idea how long that price will last for?  I'm still under contract with them until October.

Do you know if I can just do that through the sign-up page? If I login and change plan it only gives the $106 price.

Same issue for me. Currently on 100 with no contract.

That's my plan but just thought I would confirm to the OP that it is just not him. Thank you for your input.

From the teaser thread, 2degrees says "Hi! They'll need to sign for a 12 month term. Best to give the team a call on 0800 022 022 opt 9." for those existing customers on open-term.

2degrees use CGNAT so keep this in mind...

https://help.2degreesmobile.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/402/~/changes-to-ip-addresses-%28cgnat%29

Any service or outside connection that is designed to reach you via your device’s public IP address to communicate with your modem won’t work. You may also notice an impact in the below.

  • Multiplayer video games where you’re hosting a session/server
  • Website hosting
  • Services or devices that rely on port forwarding
  • Torrents will only be able to establish outbound connections
  • Internet-enabled devices that are reached by IP address (e.g. IP cameras/security cameras)
  • Remote access to home network storage, backups and remote desktop service
  • Services that rely on Dynamic DNS (DDNS)
  • VPN servers

But, you can buy a static IP for $10/month.  $85 month is still a great price for those wanting static IP's. The ISP industry runs on such fine margins, I wonder if it is sustainable at such pricing.

Called 2 Degrees as an existing Open Term Customer. Took about 2 minutes to change to the new deal.

It is $85 per month. $75 if you have a pay monthly plan.

I am on an open term contract. I have just got off the phone with customer care after being told that this applied to new customers only and I would have to disconnect and rejoin in order to get the new deal.

I'm somewhat torn. That is a good deal. However I really don't want to supply any money to Amazon (I think all the articles and documentaries about everything bad Amazon is doing say enough on the matter without me repeating it).

So I'd only take it if there was an option to opt out of the automatic amazon prime video setup. - I don't want any money I pay going to amazon period. (and yes I know I don't have to sign up for an amazon account but I'd assume by being on contract and having the free subscription available some money has been sent to amazon for it).

@sangha Of course $75 includes the $10 pay monthly discount
