maknz: Their market is extremely closed due to the lack of prepaid.

Don't like all the XT bashing from competitors... should be blaming Alcatel-Lucent if anyone.

Yeah cos they tendered it, signed off on it, and set the budget... Oh wait no, that was Telecom..

CamH: I wonder if I can move my CDMA mobiles to this offer. I already have 1 slingshot mobile which I moved from Vodafone and I would be keen to move my brother on Telecom CDMA over if they would allow it.

Go into a Telecom shop get the CDMA number moved to a XT SIM it will be a free upgrade. Then get the XT number ported to slingshot.

Can you really port over to slingshot with this offer from a prepaid XT SIM?

Yes you can move your pre pay XT phone number to slingshot. They will want to know your phone number and number printed on the SIM card.

I'd be inclined to port-in an 021 number to XT and then to Slingshot as it means that anyone who thinks it's "on net" would be correct in assuming.

As good a deal as it is, I don't think I'll personally bother though, I have more than enough phones and only really use the XT one now.

CamH: I wonder if I can move my CDMA mobiles to this offer.

It says "jump from the XT notwork". Since the CDMA network isn't called XT, and works, I don't think so...

You would be wrong.

Today, I signed up to it with both my and my partners CDMA phone numbers.

Be AWARE: not ALL the staff there know what they are doing. One guy told me FLAT I was not allowed to do it. I called again later, got someone else, and they said I could and this was confirmed by a supervisor.

Yes, but they had no obligation to offer this deal to people coming from prepaid however.
