hamish225: just got mine working - beware you have to go in and put your username in the VDSL settings, they dont do that for you.

Hmmm- mine was already set up - I didn't need to do anything except wifi passwords on assorted devices.
Chorus guy didn't have a drill bit long enough to place the connection point where I wanted it, so had to compromise there.

VDSL on Slingshot

Auckland:

Wellington:

Christchurch:

Sydney:

LA:

London:

Pretty decent.
Would be nicer if US and UK destinations were a bit faster.
Also looks like traffic must go to Auckland first before arriving at other destinations in the country.

Only bad news for you. Tested to three different servers.

Perhaps lodge a fault or if they are unwilling / unable to remedy the issue, may have to look at alternative options.

Ouch.

I've been murdering my cap on snap getting things off the seed box before my friend deletes them. Similar numbers on adsl when I last tried speed testing it.

Just had my connection changed to VDSL. All went smoothly. Gone from 16 down and 1 up to 43 down and 10 up.

Bah!

Everyone seems to be getting higher rates than me. (cue tiny violin)

Not complaining per se - still twice as fast as it was before, but still...

This is my test. Around this time of day my speeds have always dropped slightly.

I am getting between 2.8Mb/s to 3.2Mb/s through Steam and about the same again from my usenet DLs - roughly twice what I had before.

define 'not working' have you got DSL sync? have you got PPP?

go into the modem settings and make sure that your username and password are in the VDSL settings, the one with the vlan tagging.
