kindagot: I've had install done today and still not working :/ got the text to say good to go only it's not. Tech depth say will try to sort out for tomorrow . Whatncould have gone wrong? Anyone else had this with VDSL " better network" ?

VDSL is only run on Standard Network/WSA. Have you input a username and password in your modem? The modem is preconfigured apart from that, and in some cases, it is required to have any authentication attempts.

And also is the DSL light solid?

Modem had all wrong settings on it and Tech dept changed them all with me over phone. The DSL light is solid but the internet light is red ??? I think that means it's at their end?

Could be. Red internet light usually means incorrect settings/UN/PW. If you've done that all with an SS rep, it may be a good idea to wait for the VDSL consent to complete itself (within 24 hours hopefully).

I just had my installation today and getting a nice 37/10. Downloaded a youtube file at 4.2MB/s max so far. Looking forward to the line adjustments. Keen to get into the high 40's for downstream.

It's an automatic process and can't be manually changed.

I have retried the login username just in case but when finishing the set up wizard I get"for one pvc only one can be configured!"
Just really excited to get it up and running and it sucks I can't watch the season finale of Homeland tonight!

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I was also getting that error during the setup wizard.

You can try editing the current settings under the "internet setup" heading on the left hand side. There should already be a WAN profile there. Choose it and click edit. Here just check all the settings are correct, and this will be where you can enter the username and password without any errors.

Protocol: PPPoE
WAN Service Type: Internet_TR069
802.1Q VLAN ID: 10
Priority: 0
IP Protocol: IPv4

Username
Password
Confirm Password
Auth mode: AUTO
Dial-up modem: Always on
MRU Size: 1492
MTU Size: 1490

Nothing else needs adjusting. Editing shouldn't give any UN/PW errors. Hope this helps.

So I go away for a few days...

Bleh - can I assume that this massive drop is part of the dynamic analysis or is something going astray?

I would say it is the line adjusting itself, especially if you are still within the initial 10 days of installation.

2nd day in for me. Hoping my DLM profile changes. Haven't had any CRC errors at all which is nice.
