I can confirm between 1Mbit and 5Mbit Nationally, but only 1Mbit maybe 1.5Mbit to the US.

Tonight, Sunday, I've spent the entire evening connected to Ventrilo without a single disconnect or the slightest bit of lag. Haven't been able to be on Ventrilo from 4/5pm until around midnight/1am for the last 3 weeks, so some decent progress. Still gotta keep an eye on it over the next few days to see if it really is fixed, or just a one time fluke of working for one night only.

However World of Warcraft is still disconnecting so ... still some problems. I'll give Orcon a few more days before switching ISP's, seeing as how they might of fixed half my problems. But really need WoW fixed too.

This was the first weekend in 2 months that we have been able to play WOW with no disconnects and continous red latency bar.

For us the problem appears to be fixed.  But yeah, is it by fluke?  But the speedtest results show another story.

National speed has improved alot, but the International speed is worse than what it was in the midst of all the problems.

We did have some latecny spikes where the bar would go olive then red - but it was momentarily - as it went back to green after a while.  But we were not disconnected from the game.

We do play WoW on private servers, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it - as I have heard that Real WoW is quite laggy in it's self.  But our private server is the most popular one and has a good population of people on it (but not as many as real WoW though)

National

International (where our game server is)

It was quite weird for me to be honest, although I was connected and not lagging on vent, in WoW everything would be perfectly fine, then bam disconnected, I wouldn't lag at all, just instant disconnects. Obviously I reconnected straight away, and once back in game, things could either be fine for 10 minutes, or disconnect again within a minute, but while I was reconnected it wasn't laggy. It's like the internet for a split second couldn't "see" (for lack of a better term) the WoW server. This only really seemed to happen between 10pm and 11pm.

I know the data results don't show a fix.  But been able to play wow for once, tells another story,

We've yet to test weekday evenings (apart from Friday, which was perfect).

It is just weird - it is like there is up's and downs, lags and spikes and drops in the streams of data routed from Orcon to us.

I wish I was more technically minded to understand how it all works - but surely this can be fixed properly.

As promised, I've been converted to Xnet now and here are my speeds.

Been watching youtube with no hiccups what so ever!

Apart from the fact that I now have to pay $10 for a static IP, I am one happy camper at the moment. Laughing

PS: If you decide to jump to Xnet and dont already have someone that's one Xnet you can give a credit to: http://www.wxc.co.nz/friendxchange/ feel free to drop me a line and I'll give you my details Smile

Ok well this image insert thing SUCKS.

For those who don't wish to click links, barely 1Mbit nationally, 400K down internationally (my up is actually faster)

I insist orcon put its status page back to "we are currently providing unacceptable national and international speeds for most users.

It has actually got WORSE every single day since the "upgrade" occured.

Yes, the bandwidth upgrade did go smoothly - we have had almost unanimously positive feedback from users since, and all our diagnostic equipment internally is reporting significant improvements.

As mentioned prevously we have revised our upgrade schedule, and will be adding additional bandwidth much more regularly.

For those users continuing to experince difficulties - please log a fault ticket so that we are able to look into your particular case, as this is definitely not a network wide issue.

Edit: Oh, and Thomas is back in the country.
