Thanks Wayne.

May I suggest that all the call center staff are sent a memo about that.
The one I spoke to on the 4th said that the upgrade was temporary for a year & then the higher price kicked in.

Any comments as to why the overseas torrents have not had a speed boost when going from the 30/10 to the 100/50?
I & one other mentioned it a few posts back.

might simply be that although our local links have been upgraded the international pipe hasn't ;-) unless that is planned too

Wayne, that's fantastic news. Congrats to slingshot on paving the way on the 100/20 plans. Any opportunity to go naked on those? Cheers

I guess if you do just make sure the curtains are all closed for the neighbours sake :P

But srsly, Naked Fibre is an idea we've been kicking around -- after this 100/20 plan change is wrapped up the next Fibre project will be working with the other LFCs around the country (currently we only use Chorus' network).  Then we might take a look at naked.

$89 for unlimited 100/20 Fibre is a pretty good price even if you never plug your land line in :)

Cheers,

Indeed it is and thats exactly what we have done. We came from Snap naked ADSL, 150gb for $85, you can imagine the glee when we moved to unlimited 100mbit for an extra $4 a month ;)

Damit.

So jealous.

Enable only has regulated offerings in Christchurch and Slingshot didn't have an agreement with them last I checked.

Hey - we may need a couple of pilot Enable customers in October send me your contact details sometime and we could use you if you are interested (100/20 plans also).

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately not in zone yet.
Enable has been rolling out near my area, but are yet to reach us.

I don't suppose Enable share any more information with Slingshot, than what is publicly available?  (Last time I asked they didn't, so not sure if this has changed)

Sounds like great news though if Slingshot is trialing soon!   :)

Looks like we've been downgraded from 100/50 to 100/2. Whoops. foot-in-mouth (Powercycling the ONT and router didn't help.)

Slingshot speed test:
Download Speed: 88820 kps (11102.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2130 kps (266.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Packet Loss: 0 %
Test Server: nz-akl

EDIT: thought I should add that I'm supposed to be on 100/20, not that I signed up for a 100/50 plan wink.

Can you test again - the tech boys took a look and saw a profile mismatch they've corrected - any luck?

You were about an hour late with that suggestion.
