Wow, that sounds really great! Are you using a Telecom Thomson TG585v7 Modem that Telecom provided for you? I'm currently on the Total Home 100GB Plan, and so far me and my family have used 85GB (In the last 10 Days) Crazy, I know!

We killed the Thomson they gave us a while back using a SMC 7904wbra-n2 I picked up cheap from my local supplier now. We are getting a bit off the subject(slingshot help topic). But am happy so far with them.Andrew

Hi, there

I recently decided to change ISP providers to Slingshot due to there new plans which suited us. After signing up to the Homeline/Broadband plan. I am NOW LOST on what to do next my Homeline has changed but the broadband connection hasn't. I emailed the Slingshot Team what to do and they replied back that once the connection is done an initial invoice will be sent with the correct charges. I have now received the invoice asking me to pay $71 where, when signing up it said it would cost $61 per month. My internet connection isn't even setup yet.

Its been a week and I have absolute no idea whats going on. A status email would be nice

On the website, the 'Standard Broadband Terms and Conditions' say that if you have a landline that is not with Slingshot, then you'll be charged an Additional $10. But if you have Slingshot tolls, then you'll only be charged an additional $5.

My father said that we have been with Slingshot around 2005/2006 and he said we recieved bad connection, slow speed and bad customer

I would be the first to admit (I was in the call center those days) these were ugly times since then so much has changed.... As many say they are very happy with the speeds on the Unlimited Plan, also a customer of slingshot I'm happy with my speeds.

As for customer service we are always looking at ways to improve customer service and back in 05/06 and 07 those days are behind us.... our helpdesk has improved so much.

If they are changing the BB from a non telecom provider then BB can take longer than they say.
Slingshot puts in a request and has to wait and if there is an error they are have to resubmit the request and that can get caught in a look for some people.

Recently I had to email scott page ceo to get a new connection up and running. Scott.page@team.slingshot.co.nz very helpful but at average person on the street should not have to contact the ceo to get problems resolved.

Also the helpdesk is still not great, only yesterday I called up with a problem and there automatic system said I would be called back as soon as possible and that my position in the cue would not be any different than to that of me waiting on hold. That totally didn't happen and around 2 hours later I called again and got through after a pretty short wait.

I am moving from Telecom NZ to Slingshot. I know my direct tolls have been setup with Slingshot because I can see on their visibill. However my broadband connection isn't done.

My girl friend recently moved to Auckland and signed up with slingshot for broadband and landline service.

The landline installed without any problems, however she still unable to use the internet since December as she is still waiting for the modem from Slingshot.

The customer service was not very helpful as she was given an identical courier track number which was marked as delivered after the urgent re-delivery was promised. Her next bill for the broadband is coming up on the 23/ Jan, despite she is still waiting for the ADSL modem to be delivered!!

I was a slingshot customer few years ago and was quite happy with the service provided by slingshot. However I am truly disappointed after all this

Slingshot V Skinny

wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem please
I have slingshot homeline/broadband and I recently changed my mobile from Telecom to Skinny.
Slingshot homelines cannot phone my mobile, it just goes beep beep beep, but my dad who's telecom can and my daughter on telstra can and other mobiles can.

When I look on visibill it doesn't register my mobile phone as a mobile number... It is phoning 06427......... a Palmerston North landline which doesn't exist hench the beep beep beep lol

Now Slingshot tell me it's a Skinny problem and Skinny tell me it's a Slingshot problem and I'm sitting in the middle wondering who is going to look into the problem and fix it. any suggestions gratefully appreciated

Hi I just checked my Slingshot account as I'm waiting for broadband connection. However it says Current Status: Rejected: Data Re Entry
Does anyone know what this means? Cheers

Dear Slingshot,

When I signed up for your broadband several years ago I was told I got unlimited dial-up as well. Cool. I used the dial-up on holiday etc.

I haven't used the dial-up for a while and was preparing a laptop to use it this summer on holiday but couldn't get it to connect. A phone call to Slingshot revealed to me that this small bonus had been taken away without advice to me! I was/am very annoyed. Why was this done? Why was I not told? Surely it can't be a strain on resources at 56k max download? Seems a bad call for customer relations to whip it away without telling me too.
