@evilonenz It will depend on handset as the TAC codes are whitelisted for VoLTE access

Samsung S20+ looks to be working maybe

Using a 2d supplied Samsung Note 20 Ultra, I'd hope it would be whitelisted once VoLTE available on local tower/s..

No luck in Whanganui, Galaxy S21. (China variant, but known VoLTE working on RCG towers).

VoLTE in Featherston town centre for first time yesterday (2D tower). Disappeared headed west towards Upper Hutt.

2degrees supplied S20.

This page says it should be available now for iphones except for older ones - Phones Compatible with VoLTE and WiFi Calling | 2degrees

Doesn't make sense as I thought they all ran the same carrier bundle?

Just got a SMS from a Geekzone member in Wellington advising VoLTE showing on iPhone12

(If they are at home)

Edit: VoLTE not showing but Voice calls going over 4G

if you are referring to the iPhone, there is no VoLTE icon, if the calls are being placed and the 4G icon remains (not dropping back to 3G) then VoLTE is active

As an indication of it being something between VF and 2D rather than the 2D cell service itself, even voicemails I get from VF callers are nigh incomprehensible. Call quality was better back when I was still on TDMA, it might've sounded like HAM Radio, but at least I could understand them.

@2degreescare @morganbrowne Can anyone in 2degrees please confirm where VoLTE is live on the 2degrees network? - excluding RCG sites

End users are getting very confused trying to get VoLTE working on handsets when it might not even be live in that location
