So I've recently switched to Orcon and hadn't been using wireless outside my WDTVLive. Previously, i could stream to my live fine, recently since Orcon, it stutters every few seconds. Initially i thought it was my player and then my media server. However today i connected my laptop to the wireless, and it turns out it's super slow.

Wireless, I'm getting around 0.7Mbit down and 0.6mbit up on speedtest.net . Wired I get normal speeds of 9down.
I also tested download from my local media server, and i get 100KB/s.
I tested both sitting right next to the modem.

I plugged in my old modem, hooked up my media server & my laptop, and i get speeds in excess of 5MB/s.

Is there something i need to change on the modem? I had a look at the settings and there's very few and I didn't change anything from what came default. Apart from changing the wireless key.

Edit: I've used wireless on my phone/tablet from time to time, and it was always slow however i just put it down to my media server downloading something at the same time and didn't really think much of it.

Thanks Xfd, got it and am running it now.

So it turns out simply changing "Bandwidth" from 20/40mhz, to 20mhz seems to have got me full speeds on wireless now.

Not sure what this setting does at all, but it's solved!

Thanks everyone.
