The Chorus guy came over this morning and did his little piece and everything was up and running, I then had to wait a while for Orcon to do the rest but finally have working internet and phone...
The question I have is, my download and upload rates seem very low (even lower than my previous ADSL2+ connection) and I know I am under 600meters from the exchange.. I used to get 19Mbits down on ADSL.
Any suggestions on what I should be following up on.. I know DLM is still doing its thing... but really I don't think I should see speeds this slow... could the wiring changes done by Chorus be the problem... the jack point is right next to where the line comes into the house and the guy simple used some twisted pair cables between them (you know the ones inside an Ethernet cable)....
