Hi team,

New to the forum and have been out of the it game in nz for a few years but am looking for a new isp. Currently on a historic Vodafone plan with 100gb data that caps when I reach it with an option to buy more. Landline included and I see speds of around 10mb down and 1 to 2 up. Primary use is gaming but I do occasionally download and average around 100gb use per month.

Looking at orcons plans my options are 80gb or unlimited, I've ruled the 80 out as it wouldn't be enough which leads me to questions about the unlimited plans.

1. I'm in a zone that can get vdsl. Can I expect triple or near that of my speeds above on it?

2. Are the plans traffic managed or data shaped in any way? I have no interest in moving to an ISP where I get slowed down at peak times

3. Are there any differences in ping between vdsl and adsl

Thanks

1) Potentially ;-) Depends on your line quality and distance from exchange.

2) Nope, we don't do any traffic management or have a fair use policy.

3) The last mile ping will be a tiny bit smaller, depending on your line quality.
