Hi guys, sorry im a total noob at this. Was just wondering how would I connect my router to the fritzbox? Been using UFB for a couple of months now but the wireless from the fritz just isn't that good. It is possible for me to not use the fritz wireless and instead use another router's wireless right?

My setup is a Fritzbox 7390 and would like to use my previous Netgear D6200 modem router. I have connected my ethernet cable into the internet port of the Netgear and on the other end put it into one of the Fritz's lan ports. Reseted the router but it doesn't seem like it works :(

Would i need to go into the Frtiz and change some settings to allow it? Would very much appreciate it if someone could give me step by steps instructions on how to do this. laughing

Connect the netgear to the fritz in LAN ports, dont use your WAN port.

disable all dhcp dns etc on the netgear and assign it a static ip for administration.

this will set your fritz to handle everything internet and LAN wise, and leave your netgear to do the wireless.

Iver turn wireless off on the fritz, or stick both in smart locations, set the SSIDs the same, different channels and let your devices roam between the two.
