Hi,

Last Friday I made the call to Orcon to get my UFB plan upgraded from the "old" 30/10 to the "new" 100/20.  Today, we were upgraded; so after a couple of hours outage we now have internet back.  Unfortunately, my phone isn't working at the moment - apparently I need to wait until the "new" router arrives - I was aware of this, as this has been noted in other threads.

As a work-around, I've installed the "Genius Go" app on my Android phone.  However, it looks like the app still only talks to the "old" back-end systems, as I had to use my "old" username/password pair; and not the "new" ones.

Is there anyone from Orcon around who can comment on if the Genius Go app should be able to (or when a new version will be able to) talk to the "new" backend ?   Or will this still work on the "new" backend once my landline has been transitioned over??

I'm assuming that my "old" username/password will go away at some point fairly shortly; but I still like the idea of the Genius Go app; it's unclear on their website about if the app still works with "new" accounts.

And for future reference, in case anyone else looks:

Orcon Technical Support confirmed that the Genius Go app only works with the "old" system; now I've been migrated over, the app won't work.

Yup, that's correct. We're working on an app that will work for people in the new platform.
