Just had a doorknocker then claiming that I am getting pretty poor speeds on my broadband and that I should upgrade to MyRepublics Gigabit plan. He then pulled out his phone on the Chorus maps showing I was on 200/200Mbit and was saying that my ISP wasn't giving the best speeds I can possibly get. He then proceeded to say that with MyRepublic I'd get much faster speeds than I currently have and that MyRepublic buys more bandwidth than any other ISP and they have no contention or speed issues anywhere on their network.

I then pulled out my phone from my pocket - explained that the test I am doing is over WiFi and on a phone so will not reach the full speed of my plan and ran a speedtest getting 470/400Mbit over WiFi. He asked how much I payed for my plan and I simply said "much less than you could ever offer". He quickly left.

What annoyed me was he was using the fact the Chorus maps are currently showing outdated data due to the (very) recent 1000/500Mbit upgrades to say that MyRepublic in all cases will be faster for those on UFB - he didn't believe me the first time when I said I already was happy on a Gigabit connection.

Anyway, a bit of entertainment for tonight...
