HI

I have a Canon LBP6000 USB printer which I would like to turn into a network printer.

I've connected the printer via USB to the fritz-box, enabled the network/printer settings and can see that the printer has been detected by the router.

2degrees supplies some software that I've installed and got a window asking for a username and password to connect to the printer. 2degrees support has told me that this is the username and password of the printer itself not anything to do with my 2degrees account or router password.

Does anyone know the default username and password for a LBP6000 USB printer and/or if this is even a thing?

I've tried Administrator and 7654321 found on some other Canon devices with no luck.

Any help appreciated.

SOLUTION: The Fritzbox software was not asking for printer username and password. For future reference leave the username box blank and use the password that you use to log into your router.

Spyware:

Article refers to Fritzbox credentials.

Thanks!

This solved it. The 2degrees support person was wrong by informing me that it was asking for printer password. I had to leave the username field blank and use the router password.
