I purchased an Ultraplus X1000HD+ and a 110cm dish twin LNB setup specifically to get the Nine network so the wife can record the netball.

However, I am able to get france 24, RTS etc and even the TCN news feed but none of the nine network FTA.

I'd really appreciate some advice. Anyone else able to get Nine network?

Where in NZ are you? I thought a lot bigger dish than that was needed.

Why even bother with satellite when you can just stream it over the Internet?

Recording from IPTV sources is easy. I have all the Australian channels on NextPVR complete with full EPG and recording is as simple as recording or watching a NZ TV channel.

As for using satellite somebody with a bit more knowledge may chime in, but I thought you pretty much needed a 2.1m dish to pick up a lot of the stuff now.
