I have an F-Splitter that send analogue TV to various rooms.  To go to HD/Digital, I need a new aerial location.  Unfortunately the new position is downstream of a splitter which is buried behind the GIB board.  Before I burst this open and remodel it, can I expect any UHF signal to pass through a 3-way splitter in the wrong direction, and will I get signal on the remaining 2 ways and or the input way?

Also, does anyone know the Db rating on the antenna needed to pick up Ngarara in Raumati and feed 3 ways?

Thanks

Hi, splitters can work both as splitters and combiners with no issues its all common practice, however what antenna are you trying to combine it with, if its a VHF antenna then normal practice is to use a diplexer which is a split band combiner.

Depending on where you are in Raumati can determine if you can or cannot get any useful signal off Ngarara, some areas are poorly covered. I normally install 8 element UHF yagis which have a gain of 12-15dB.
