Sky still own the management rights for their channels and the last I read were still in discussions over whether they should be required to hand these back when ASO occurs or be entitled to use them for their own DVB-T services.
The issue affecting everybody is that a massive frequency retune has to occur after ASO and before the current 700Mhz spectrum can be carved up. This will mean changing the frequency of virtually every existing DVB-T MUX.
I thought Sky renewed the licenses for the UHF spectrum for 10 years to 2020. And the discussions were more about how to wrest the spectrum from them at ASO. Cos legally they get to use it until 2020. If there is some value in the "digital dividend" then it shouldnt be to hard to pay them to give the spectrum up for "higher and better use".
