Its all good (ie it is what I am doing), have a look at a post back on page 7 by rustygonad which describes how to tune it. Mine was a 10750 though some will be 11300. Look in your advanced settings in sky - should tell you what number you need to enter.

Yes I read that post but it says to use a single LNB, we have a dual LNB. What settings do I use for the 10750 Dual LNB?

I have a dual LNB like that and the Sky decoder is configured as you have said but I just followed what rusty said and chose single and set it to 10750 and it works.

Another problem I have is that now, after configured the Sky decoder via the PVR150, the guide has 999 channels listed!
I assume this is because the Sky decoder can handle that many channels.
How do I remove all these extra unneeded channels without having to manually untick them all from the guide settings??

OK still connot get this to work. Using a WinTV Nova-s USB2.

Selecting Optus D1 (160E) as the sattilite
Then select custom single LNB
Type 10750 for LNB
No signal shows up, I ignore that there is no signal as I read somewhere it doesn't work??
Do a transponder scan - 1st scan 12483 with 22500 as the symbol rate
Then the same for 12456.
Nothing, absolutly nothing, and before you ask, there is definatly a signal at the cable as when I plug in the freeview box instead of the Nova-s it gets all the channels. Very fustrating, any help is much appreciated.

OK, I am going to have a crack at this, this weekend and want to clarify a few things:

From what I have read the scheduled recording are not paying attention to the OTA EPG. Has anyone found a solution for this? Has anyone for XMLTV working with it instead?

With the OTA EPG it obviously works with the DVB-S card, can this same EPG be used with the standard analogue card? and can you then set a preference on the cards for recording?

Someone commented about setting the clock back to get around the timebomb on h.264 - will this work? stranger things have happened...

While that may solve the timebombing problem I imagine it would completely stuff the guide (amongst other things)

Correct with the problem and no solution found. I have started messing with some MHEG registry settings but no dice yet. Not sure on the XMLTV.

Yes you can combine the EPG for analogue channels. And yes once the listings are combined you can set tuner preferences.

Only thought is to make sure you have selected the right one from horizontal or vertical (I *think* there was an option there for his).
Oh and when manually scanning a frequency, the meter does work (at that point - not earlier as you mentioned) which might be helpful. Sorry bro

Alright I am having the same problems with getting the old (pre-fiji) setup to work as well.

Current configs are, I have two PC's that I am testing individually.

One that has Fiji and has a nova-s USB
One does not have Fiji and has to internal Nova-s plus tuners.

Just installed another temp sat dish with a single 11300 LNB. All works with the non fiji pc but not with the fiji pc (have not got any combination working on the fiji pc apart from before fiji was installed and before the sat got changed to the new dual 10750. Can't get either of the PC's to work with the 10750 even after disconecting sky and try all sorts of different splitter combinations. I have even tried the old setup with the two nova-s plus' with reg edits changing from 1130000 to 1075000 but could not get that to work.

So only system I can get working is the pre-fiji version working with either the internal nova=s cards or the USB using the 11300 LNB.

One question i have not asked is what tuner cards are you using? Has anyone had issues with the Nova's??

Correct with the problem and no solution found. I have started messing with some MHEG registry settings but no dice yet. Not sure on the XMLTV.

To use XMLTVNZ (or any other EPG grabber) you need software to convert the XMLTV format to the MS format. BladeRunner & BladeRunnerPro do this under the normal XP MCE and Vista MCE but I'm positive I read somewhere the format has changed for this new release and no longer works.

Bladerunner and all of the guide grabbers ie XMLTVNZ will not work form the Fiji beta onwards. This includes the TV Pack. The guide database has changed completely. The OTA guide works, so you should have no reason to use Bladerunner or the grabbers anyway.

If you are using the TV Pack make sure you have disabled the Hauppauge registry mods first ie in the registry DVBS_as_DVBT keyword should = 0. If you haven't your cards will not be visable to Media Center. This will effect all Hauppauge cards.

hvr 3000 for dvb-s here, pvr 150 for analog sky.

Do you use the hvr 3000 over a nova-s because it has DVB-T or is there some other reason? Are there any good cards that have dual DVB-S tunners either PCI or USB?

Hmmm just bought it as it was about the same price and could do all three in case I wanted to do dvb-t, though have never used it for dvb-t or analog (as have the 150 for that). Not sure on the dual tuner cards

Are you getting a signal outside of media center ie have you tried DVBViewer, ProgDVB or one of the other programs?

The TV Pack is fairly robust - you know it will tune in on the Scan Single Trasnsponder section, once you enter 12XXX, 22500, Horizontal etc the signal bar will always turn green if its going to work - if it doesn't you won't find any channels - this has happens about 3 out of say 10 times.

If it doesn't turn green a reboot is needed between the initial "Setup TV Signal" and the actual scan to get the configs to lock ie if you don't get a green bar on the Scan Single Transponder page, reboot, and try the Scan More Channels and repeat the process.

Ok, somethings not working right for my new setup. I've done a clean install of Vista with SP1, and installed the TV Pack.

When setting up Freeview, I choose NZ as my region, 1011 as my postcode, Satellite as the signal type, have both of my HVR-3000's selected, say No to more than one satellite, choose Optus D1, custom single oscillator, 11300 as the oscillator frequency, (at that stage the signal quality bar shows nothing - is it meant to?), and say no to setting up any DVB-T tuners.

The I do a single satellite transponder scan, use 12483 as the frequency, 22500 as the symbol rate, and horizontal polarization. At this stage the signal quality bar shows fully green which I assume is good.

The scan finds 11 channels (TV One, TV2, Maori TV etc). The guide shows these channels along with many others (which I assume are Aust channels), but no guide data. When I try to watch one of the NZ channels, nothing happens other than I get a blue screen. What am I doing wrong?

Thats a new one... Your scan is working exactly as it should. The first 70 or so channels listed in the guide are a mixture of Australian channels along with a couple of mysterious Sky Box Office and a few others.

The blue screen is strange though - sounds like a Nvidia driver type issue... Unless its similiar to the DVB-T issue with MHEG. Try your postcode as 0000 - other than that I'm out of ideas.
