Hi S8200 customers, the latest software version has been released which now enables an option in Menu > Admin about your default guide, Install the latest software update then in the Admin Settings choose MHEG for the original Freeview Guide or FreeviewPlus for the new guide.

Knaufie: Ummm, just wondering whether anyone can provide assistance. Having set up the box today, I only get Bravo +1, Prime and The Edge on my unit.

Signal 66% and quality 98% in Hawkes Bay.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Your LNB might need to be readjusted, however you might need to manually tune in the other channel groups, please PM me if you need help with this or check the User Guide.

I recently purchased an S8200 Freeview box. I have not been able to programme it to record either a single episode or a series. I have tried several times, following the instructions in the user guide but every time I get to the third step which is "Press the Red button" it simply takes me to another Menu. The key on step 2 shows the Red button as being "Menu" but the guide says to press this one! I can record instantly - i.e. the programme I am watching at the time using the button with the red dot - but this button doesn't work as an alternative to the Red button either. Frustrated with this purchase already!

Hi there, some help if possible.  Have just purchased the S8200 and going to give the flick to Sky.  We have three tvs on Dish only.  The main tv with sky had a modulator so the other tvs would work as well.  Any way that I can do this with Freeview?  None of the TVs have built in freeview.

I'm connecting via WiFi and have verified the connection to the Internet is good. Any help greatly appreciated :).

they have the same issue on one of the other boxes, call and log an issue and hopefully they will either revert the software or release a new one

Hi I had that issue until I upgraded to version 01.26 (on the s8200)

 

check which version you have.

 

you can also get into the apps with the green button when in the guide.

Apps should be going, check network settings and also if your device has been updated to our latest version.

Hi

 

My mother has one of these, and ive been trying to get it going for her.

 

As soon as i connect it to the wifi (Internet) it come up with an error "Server Not Available. The server is not available. You can still enjoy live TV. Please try again later"

 

There are 2 option buttons Close and Retry.

 

Close does nothing and the message cant be closed so you cant watch TV. The only way to get rid of it is to disonnect it from the network.

 

She is on spark DSL. I have also tried from my phones hotspot (2 degrees) with the same result.

 

The firmware is v1.26

 

Anyone seen this and/or a fix?

if you have the latested firmware try a factory reset and try again

All the programs, on-demand and apps have gone too dark to see.  Live, I think, is ok.

 

Anyone else experiencing this?

 

 

 

If I factory reset will I lose my library?

pretty sure the library is fine, you might just have to re-schedule the booked programmes though

Is it against the Rules here to discuss ways we could modify the code to alter the "FF time" maybe

 

being able to set the FF time to a custom time ( to avoid anybody losing revenue streams the custom time could be set to allow us to skip

 

the program and watch only those loverly adverts LOL)

Sorry if this has been covered before however a quick search has not uncovered a solution.

 

Just resonantly purchased 1 of these units has have had it operating for about a week. Seems fine at the moment except for 1 issue that I am looking for help in.

 

I can't connect to the internet by WiFi

 

The Wifi dongle is working

 

I can connect to the internet if I hotspot from my phone.

 

I see my network on the scan but whenever I try to connect after entering my network password the connection fails ( I do have 2 SSID's with the same name as they are on different frequencies, if that matters)
