My head is spinning right now and I am hoping someone can give me really basic instructions before I explode!

We had a LG TV connected to a Loranz Freeview set top box and a Panasonic HD recorder.  I think we were on our third set top box and the remote was not working properly and the TV had lines on the side so we decided to get a new TV with built in Freeview.  It's only in the bedroom so we brought a cheap Panasonic TV.  Now we have found out that the Panasonic HD recorder is an analogue recorder (we should have clicked sooner but as we were able to use it with the set top box it never occured to us) so we can't record from this new TV unless we do it via the old Freeview set top box.  This is where my head is spinning - for the life of me I can't figure out how to connect all 3.  Ideally we want to be able to view the TV through the built in Freeview and only use the set top box on the odd occasion where we need to record something otherwise we are back stuck with the crappy Loranz remote to change channels.  If I can't configure it I guess the only other option is to purchase a Freeview recorder but we can't really afford that.  Or of course never record anything in the bedroom again - that would be easier lol!
