Wonder what the wait for the Nano sims will be, hoping all service providers have them stocked, would be a shame to have an iPhone 5 and not be able to use it while you are waiting for a sim.

I'm pretty sure when the iPhone 4 was released and being the first phone to use a micro-SIM, that all the telcos had them ready to go by the time the phone was launched here, so I wouldn't expect it to be any different with the nano-SIM and iPhone 5.

The way I see this is, try to buy iPhone 5 outright on launch day from Voda - if they won't sell without a contract (high probability) then I'll just buy the phone somewhere else, stroll down to 2degress for a nano sim and then switch over (and lose the 3GB data plan I'm on)

Just a you have been warned tip for those planning on the scissor and sand paper treatment ...

There is talk that an overly thick diy nano Sim may damage the slot on your brand new iPhone ...

Of course we need Guinea pigs to test the premise ...
