Hello,
I'm an IT Manager at a medium sized (250+ seat) business, we are not directly IT related but we often on-sell or charge on various IT goods and services as part of the projects we are involved in.
Would Ingram Micro allow me to sign up for an account directly? It can be such a pain (and more expensive obviously) dealing with a third party reseller.
Any tips from those in similar positions would be much appreciated!

thats a question you need to ask them, you can complete an application for a credit account on the following link http://www.techpac.co.nz/login/reseller.cfm , IMOHO as long as you meet the credit criteria and make regualar purchases I dont think you will have any issues, I didnt.

you might also like to try Express Data. I have accounts with both IM and ED, and have found that in several cases ED were cheaper than IM. I also found ED much easier to set up a credit account with.

As long as your business is pertinent to the products IM sells, you will be granted an account. Certain sections of the online system will be sealed off depending on your business and you won't be able to order things like Vodafone mobile phones (with a few exceptions). I believe they recently created a minimum monthly purchase however. I can't remember the figure but I thought it was a little high at the time.
