It's here now... Early bird registrations for Tech Ed are open.

I also just got an email with interesting news. This year's keynote is now being hosted at the Vector Arena so it can accommodate all delegates in what is, no questions, the largest tech conference in New Zealand.

In addition to all the interesting technical tracks frequent TechEd New Zealand attendees are used to, an empowering new track has be added this year called “Be more awesome” which focusses on teaching delegates how to develop teams, engage (e.g. via marketing or social media), manage projects, present, and sell.

Also, a new evening event will focus on women in technology and look to support women in the industry.

Who is attending?

Coffee around SKYCITY:

1. Depot - next to Conference Centre Entry. Good Coffee, can get busy and take a little while
2. Rebo Pronto - inside the main building atrium. Coffee OK to good, service normally quicker and less busy than Depot
3. Kingston St cafe - down Federal St on corner by courts. Good Coffee, friendly service
4. Coffee Club - just around corner of Victoria St. Average coffee, expensive
5. Federal St Deli - near Depot - unlimited filter coffee
6. Chain Coffee - on the corner of Victoria and Federal - major mental blank can't remember name. Average Coffee, Expensive

TwoSeven: Might be a daft question, but if the keynote will be at the Vector Arena,  where will the registrations be (and what time will that open).   Just need to leave enough time to get from the airport to appropriate place.

Registrations are primarily at SKYCITY, and the registration desk will be open all day on both the Monday and Tuesday before the Keynote.  There will also be a registration option at Vector, mainly for Keynote + TechLive only attendees, but while you could get your pass there you would have to return to the registration desk at SKYCITY later to pick up bag etc.

I'd suggest arriving earlier in the morning on the Tuesday in case you want to attend some of the Exam Cram sessions, or perhaps other events if any are run.
