I have installed Windows 10 from our shiny new Windows 10 enterprise image on WDS and like normal when I get a fresh install, I went to install RSAT. For the first couple of weeks, it was only listed as being part of the Windows 10 preview. Now it is available but only if you are on US english. Following the instructions to add the US English language has resulted in nothing. It "installs" but nothing is actually installed. Nothing appears in Features or anywhere else.

Also, I have noticed that various GUI options like DHCP, Remote Access, NPS, and IPAM are no longer available as RSAT tools, instead you are directed to use powershell.

Anyone been able to get RSAT to install under Windows 10?
Is RSAT going the way of the dodo now that powershell is the de-facto standard for interacting with Windows server?
Is the Windows GUI going away and us powershell admins will rule the world?

It does make some things really quick and easy though to just pull up a remote console and quickly check something. Having to RDP into a server to check a couple of DNS entries or a domain user group is so server 2003.

That was it, I had to download it and approve it through WSUS first and only then would it give me the option to download it. Will try install RSAT after a reboot and see.

**EDIT** yep, that was it.
If you have en-GB installed for some reason, and you are using managed updates through WSUS and you want RSAT:
Go to your WSUS server - make sure you are downloading language packs and the en-US ones are approved for install.
Then go back to your language settings. It may actually download automatically the way it is meant to, but otherwise you can force it using instructions here: https://www.stephendonaghy.com/?p=25.
Then you can reboot and install RSAT and then reboot again.
