I have a financial service providing client (who I will call batch-receiver) who in turn has a client (who I will call batch-provider) who has batch files in PCDirect, which I am told is old BNZ banking software.

Batch-provider has exported the batch files in the only way they can find, and here is the problem.  They are XLS spreadsheets.  But worse, they are documents with headers and formatting printed to XLS spreadsheets.

Batch-receiver wants me to convert these to standard formats, or to write software to convert these to standard formats.  This is not a problem, but I suspect that the software may be able to do proper exports to uploadable formats - in which case batch-provider who has other clients with the same use case can save work on my part.

Has anyone used PCDirect?  Is it possible to export batch files in standard formats?  Or is this print to xls as document the only way?

BNZ replied to my client and said that their client should get in touch and they'll manually export the data in standard formats.  Otherwise, the PCDirect software only exports to excel and PDF.
