Hi.

I am trying to resolve an issue. I need to reset the password on my Uni-Fi Pro. I don't want to factory reset it for a couple of reasons I can't really be bothered getting into.

I found this:

https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Troubleshooting/UniFi-Lost-password-and-username-recovery/ta-p/412549

The problem is when I run the db.admin.find()

I get nothing. No list of accounts, nothing at all.

I am running controller 4.66 for Windows. Discovery can see the device, the controller software is running but the web interface doesn't seem to find it, unless I go back and forward in the setup steps where it flashes the IP, firmware version and then disappears.

Anyone got any ideas. I am starting to hate this brand fiercely. (not just for this reason).

No idea, but maybe backup settings and then reset? Not good if you need to stay online. ; (.

I would suspect instructions from 2013 wouldn't apply to v4 software which is pretty much a completely new version that shares nothing in common with v1/v2/v3

Do you have any updated information by chance?

No.

Have you tried asking in the UBNT forums?
