Hi,

Not sure if this is the right sub but anyways,

Cable locates on Public side of the fence used to be free. Has this now become chargeable.

I got the main Chorus cable located on the road verge (beforeudig), and got a bill for $100+gst,
2 years ago the same cable in a different site was free of charge provided the locate did not cross onto private property.
Rang the acc line and got told this is the new norm.

Is this infact the case.

Cheers

Jeremy

l43a2: $100 seems a bit much

why?

https://www.chorus.co.nz/cable-location-service-1/cable-location-service/protecting-the-network-2

The INFO seems to be on the Chorus site bottom of the page I have linked to

" A fee is charged for all on-site cable locations including those on private property unless the cables are shown to be our core distribution cables, in which case we'll mark these out free of charge "
