I know the AMOLED technology is prone to screen burn but really 9 months and the top bar is well burnt into my screen - has anyone had any luck getting this replaced under warranty?

I've had an SGS2 for nearly 12 months. No screen burn here. Do you leave the screen turned on 24/7??

SGS2 here no burn....

visible easy as here, flip it landscape and the right side has a massively different 7mm or so strip where the notification bar normally sits, and you can see some evidence of the battery meter and clock in that bar too

Hmm, not on mine nor my SGSI. Mind you, I have the brightness fairly low. Perhaps that is the secret?

Possibly, I have mine on full brightness because it looks better that way.

I always have mine on auto, set about 1/3 brightness

Cant stand auto as its constanlty ramping it up and down as I am using it. Full is fine except when driving and using it since its like having a floodlight strapped to the dashboard.

I had some burn-in on my SGSII and raised this in a thread I started about a year ago but now can't find the thread for some reason. The white part of the screen had yellowed in the blue and white Applications logo iirc.

Edit: Found the thread - sorry, it was on my SGS (not SGSII)
