I came across this yesterday and can't say i have seen anything on here about it, looks like an awesome concept that could really work, and possibly be more productive than the Pixel-C :P

Id it works as well as it looks to work this could be a bit of a game changer for tablets for a lot of people

There is a website but doesn't seem to work today www.jide.com but kickstarter and forum links work

I was able to get one of there tablet/surface type things for $30US (normally $400) from kick starter

It's not bad, company is fast to release fixes etc and the hardware is nice, have not used it for a while however as I have a surface pro 3

I'm jealous on both accounts :P the ultra tablet looks like a great product

How well does it do as a desktop medium? From the pics it looks like a near perfect fusion of material design and a traditional desktop

I find it fine, it would be good for someone that just wants email / web stuff.  Have not really used it to game etc (as I don't game much on android).

I was looking at selling it but can't on trademe due to not have a nz plug (it has a US charger that works fine with an travel adaptor and does charge via micro USB as well (micro USB is slow however).

We could make this the official RemixOS thread.

The software for Remix OS for PC is released on the 12th
http://www.jide.com/en/remixos-for-pc

Although there is a leaked version knocking around on a small competitor of GZ *cough* Reddit *cough*

I think its going to be a game changer in the Android world now it will run on Intel architecture.

Yes, watching this with huge interest, assuming you can boot from mSD it would be a great way to dual boot my Stream8 solving the age old lack of windows app issue :P

The OS is shaping up re nice, it looks like it might be an almost perfect fusion of Android/ChromeOS/W10, not to mention they seem very motivated to keep up to date with MM promised in the near future

Works pretty well. Plugged into the TV via HDMI and with a USB wireless keyboard/mouse.

Initially had problems running Netflix but that was patched. Still have issues with Google Play music streaming - local file playback is OK.

Main use right now is casual games - paired with a bluetooth games controller.

The windowing works quite well and as a whole the desktop replacement approach works - although connected to the TV this is not a focus. I could see it being used as a cheap PC for email, document editing and browsing.
