Anyone else interested in getting the P7? I avoided the P6 because of first generation issues. The P7 doesn't look much different, really hyping the small things, but I expect all the bugs to be ironed out.

Finally getting over my love for the P2, although its still going strong with a new battery.

Its going to be available in more countries as well, https://9to5google.com/2022/09/29/pixel-7-european-launch/ but alas not NZ.

I'm not enthusiastic about it.

It's hard to justify spending flagship money for a phone out of the box does not have 5G and voLTE/voWifi in NZ.

I'm interested in seeing the rumored Pixel Fold preview. Likewise hard to get excited about - same reason.

I really like my Pixel 4a, but I'm going to buy within NZ from now on I think. Having a phone compatible with the major networks, VoLTE, VoWiFi is going to be more important going forward, Pixel you may or may not get those features.

Interested in the base 7 (pro is too big), would wait until there is confirmation volte will work here though (believe it works for the 6 on spark now).

Could probably bring one over from aus easily enough, thinking of making a trip there next year, not sure if JB or harvey norman or other aus retailers that trade in NZ would honour warranties from NZ though or if they can be purchased unlocked.

Thats awesome news! I am already on Spark. I don't really care about 5g, its more hype and shiny toys rather than useful tech I think.

Maybe not. Look on the Pixel 6 thread for firsthand information.

Does anyone have any reputable sites that are showing the Pixel 7 for sale? Pricespy has nothing yet, & dicksmith is only showing cases... for which I have little use so far :/

I'm watching Dick Smith each day, but at least if they have the cases the phones will follow some time.

My Dad's coming over for Christmas from Australia. I'm going to get him to bring me a P7 Pro to replace my P4XL

EDIT: Assuming VoLTE is going to work!

There's a trade-in program available for the Pixel 7. My Pixel 4a is worth about US$350 towards a Pixel 7, but I think it would be tricky to do from New Zealand. If we had some assurance VoLTE was going to be available in NZ I'd jump on it - approx US$250 would be a steal for a flagship phone.

What carrier are you using? Could you please type the string below into your phone and see what it says there, or take / post a screenshot.

Nope, no 5G for pixels in NZ.
