Could mean Pixel Phones finally being sold in NZ??
The article mentions Vodafone operating in Oceania but would this exclude VFNZ/One NZ?

Linux: 100% exclude VodafoneNZ / One as it is no longer owned by Vodafone Group
Although they are rebranding I would have thought that One would utilise the ability to piggyback on ordering phones via them to get access to handsets not normally available in NZ.

I'm sure I read somewhere that VodafoneNZ / One would be keeping a close relationship with Vodafone Group so they can take advantage of handsets, roaming agreements, etc.
Vodafone will retain a separate partnership with Vodafone Group under which the British firm will continue to provide a variety of backroom technical services to Vodafone, such as the certification of handsets for its network. The ability of Vodafone customers to roam on Vodafone Group’s networks overseas, and vice versa, will also not be affected.

I would have thought that was conditional on them paying tonnes of cash to keep using the brand. Now that they are bailing on that why would the UK one want to support an overseas telco like that? Really now that its rebranding and going away, what is to stop vodafone from launching here again as their own telco or a MVNO off someone else? Dont want to give support to future potential competition.
Is is common practice for telcos to provide handset distribution and warranty/technical support? It seems like a departure from their core business.
I always assumed that the telco retail outlets just sold products that they source through the normal Apple/Samsung distribution channels.
