I have two HTC Magic phones. One is on Vodafone and the other is on a Telecom XT pre-pay SIM.. Despite lacking the 850MHz frequency, the Magic on Telecom fine in Auckland in all respects......except for PXTs. I can receive PXTs on it - they go to a "lightsurf" web site.....but i can't download the pics to the phone. I get a message saying the image format isn't compatible.

Sending PXTs to a Vodafone number doesn't work at all. I haven't tried a Telecom number.

I have the "TelecomMMS" APN set up on my phone, as well as the TelecomDefault, TelecomContent and TelecomData APNs.

Has anyone got this going? I thought I had it working at one point.....but now can't recall whether I actually did or not. I tend not to remember when things 'just work" and notice when they stop. It isn't working now.

Not strictly an android question, but this forum is most likely to have people who have used the HTC Magic and android on Telecom XT.
