On Froyo "JP6" stock Samsung firmware. Samsung Galaxy S 16GB.

I've got Skype installed and logged in.

IM works fine.
Voice calling over 3G works fine.
Haven't tried video...

This is good.

Does it even have video support? btw I noticed that even when logged out Skype continues to run in the background and if you kill it the process restarts itself. malicious? maybe.

Wasn't aware it had been confirmed on Geekzone for the build that came out Saturday. I knew it definitely didn't work on the Eclair rom. :-)

I seriously hope that's a joke. Surely someone else can bring Android -> PC Video chat. Maybe the Yahoo Messenger app does it..

I hope it is too, but Skype have always taken months to get anything done on Android, looks like Gingerbread will beat them too it with it's video calling.  Just hope that Samsung is actually going to start early on Gingerbread this time and not stall like that did with Froyo
