Finch: Something that I was a bit confused about, was when will the handsets be sent out?
On the first post it says
Which to me implies we will get before Nov 2nd
- "Geekzone members also get priority access to these handsets before launch"
However then it says
"For those who buy through the on-line store using the provided link or sign up by 12.00pm on Nov 1st, their handset will ship out on November 2nd . Delivery may take up to 3 days for South Island addresses."
To me its saying we will get before the official release date, then its saying we will get on release date. Or do we have to go in store to pay for the phones to get before Nov 2nd as it says those who buy through the "on-line store...handset will ship out on Nov 2nd"
Im not bothered either way, just thought I would ask :)
2degreesCare:
Hi Zemien
Yes you are correct, the Huawei Nexus 6P through 2degrees is unlocked and running stock Android with no modifications at all.
Cheers

ramboky: @netsujit Google is effectively the manufacturer here and as such they provide the warranty, not 2degrees, so you'll be fine to unlock as long as you re-stock before returning for warranty repair.
ramboky: My understanding was that Google would front the warranty process, but I may well be wrong. Either way, 2degrees cannot change the terms of the manufacturers warranty, it's a warranty between you and the manufacturer, it has nothing to do with the store you bought it from. If retailers could change the terms of manufacturer warranties it would be exceedingly difficult for the consumer to know and understand their rights.
You're definitely getting mixed messages there and some of them contradict what I've seen elsewhere, but ultimately the Consumers Guarantee Act should cover you in the case of a hardware fault, regardless of whether you have unlocked the bootloader.
I've owned multiple Nexuses since the Nexus One and on the two occasions I needed a warranty claim I've had no issues, despite all my devices being unlocked and rooted.
