izzyongeek: So I had a play with the real deal in the store and the camera is great fun to play with, I image I will enjoy using the UFocus feature to polish photos.

While I was there I asked if they would have the Dot View cases in soon, which they didn't have in stock yet, and there wasn't any word when they would have those in store or if they would have all the colours.

Where is the best place to purchase a Dot View case easily? Has anyone seen them in store? Or will I need to look online if I want it sometime soon?

Seems like Vodafone have the Dot View cases but are only for the first 90 people who purchase the HTC One M8.

By the way, if UFocus is a software thing, does that mean the HTC One M7 will be getting it in the Sense 6 update?

Just go an email with this unfortunate update:

"We are still yet to receive the shipment that was meant to arrive in store today. Therefore I am not confident in saying it will be sent out today. I expect that it will be sent out on Monday. I do apologise for this delay."

I think it relies on the second lens as well as software, so not likely for the M7.
It's interesting to read back12 months to the launch of the M7. Same retailers, same complaints about delivery dates.

This is right - the second rear 'camera' is a sensor that captures the depth info necessary for the
UFocus software to do its thing.

Mine just arrived a bit ago through the cat door. Feels amazing in hand, was worried that it's slightly larger dimensions would make it uncomfortable to hold, but it's even nicer than the M7:

In the long run, a couple of days without it is probably worth it for the 20% discount. Still frustrating though.

Very nice! Lucky man. I have seen comparison photos before but did not realise how significantly bigger it is than the M7.

The first 90 that buy it on a Vodafone Red plan to be more precise. I hope they don't do the same with any bonuses that come with the Z2.
