Spong:
NZtechfreak: Quick update: 64GB micro SDXC card seems to be working fine with 47GB loaded onto it... more to follow.

I realise you'll have formatted this as FAT32, but do you know if your ROM is customised in any way to support above 32GB cards?  My SGS2 is still running stock firmware and they'll be a whole stack of derivatives out there of course.

Its not tweaked at all in that regard (none are as far as I'm aware). Just about to try it in Sensation/Transformer/SGSI, I expect it will work in them too to be honest...

running cognition 1.5... getting a bit sick of the hopeless battery life!!!

nothing running overnight and it drops 7-10% consistently! batt stats say 53% screen and 43% android OS (i don't know when the stats reset - does it show stat from the beginning of time?)

on flight mode it drops 0% overnight.

hrrmph ... is lite'ning rom 6 any better? and downsides? (might flash lite'ning when the next kernel update is released ... )

(note full bars of signal, wifi on or off - still no change)

no background syncs, no skype. only gmail and facebook loaded. delete most of useless apps and games to the bare minimum and no improvement.

perhaps there's a 'clash' as i didn't do a clean install but used the no-wipe method write over instead ... hmmm

Hmm, I've still on 1.42.  Been for a 2 hour bike ride and sat at home now for the last 90 minutes connected to wifi, a bit of tweeting, reading FB, synch for mail, foursquare etc and I'm on 95%.  Wifi is set to turn off when the screen sleeps.  But I've more or less had it going the whole time I'm at home.  I think the battery life on 1.42 is awesome.  GPS is pretty useless.  Foursquare and Seesmic can't get a read on my location, but Google Maps does.  I don't understand.  And I put the fix on that someone posted about earlier in the week on this thread.  No improvement at my end though.

I am having all sorts of issues with my SGSII.

The car mode for the voice recognition keeps starting up randomly, Voice talk (usually accessed by pressing the home key twice) randomly comes up and it goes into MTP application mode (when you plug in the USB to do stuff with kies) at its own free will with no usb cable or wifi connection at all.

When I receive calls it starts in Speaker mode and after you switch it back it will randomly during the conversation go back into speaker mode witch is a pain.

I have factory reset the phone and removed the SD card but the problem still persists.

I have emailed Techbrands when I bought the phone from and am awaiting a resoponse from them on were to go from here.

Any Ideas?

Whoops, sorry I got sidetracked last night trying to get the highest quadrant I could for a few hours :)
Have you tried it out now?  Seems like a really nice rom, much more stable than build 39,

Although the camera needs a bit of work I think, not quite as good as the stock Samsung camera app

Seems stable at 1.6, not overheating, even when gaming, but the battery does take a massive hit

I just started using foursquare picked me up straight away, never had any issues with GPS like I did with Captivate. I'm on KH3 modem and had no issues, I read that a lot say that the KG6 is a better one but have had no issues

Agree on kg6, I've had some noticeably good perfomance and battery life while on it. Kh3 is just not as good.

Have you tried a new odin ROM flash?

If so, and you still get the issues, i'd say it's faulty. Warranty it before it's too late.

Could this also be a candidate for foreign objects in the usb port? It is pretty easy to get fluff and other tiny debris in there and it has been the cause of numerous unrelated issues before (as reported on XDA).

Been using the latest villianrom, 2.5. With the ninphetamine 2.05 kernel (reccomended apparrently the newer ones have some power drain issue). I also put the newest modem KI1 in with odin.

Seems pretty good on the battery, speed is excellent, stability is fine. Not overclocked, not undervolted. About to undervolt by 150mv on all speed steppings (this has been fine on this phone with every other rom).

Anyway, i just thought I'd recommend this ROM, (also install villian tweaks).
