Foo: I don't think in really matters, but go ahead. If you did un-root and immediately got the update, you could likely infer that it does matter.
Best thing is to be patient (as hard as that can be sometimes!)

Mine was from Mobicity.
Would the fact that it is rooted affect it's ability to update? Should I un-root and try again?

I'm of the feeling that Honeycomb is 'almost there' and perhaps by a further release (3.2 or 3.2) some of the rats and mice will be chased out. I can see why people really dig the iPad, but for me, Android offers so much more.
