wackiestphreak: Android 4.3 and HTC 5.5 just became available for my phone on Telecom

Not sure if you've been affected by the purple/pink camera tinting issues, but if so, has the update fixed the issue for you? Or more generally, does anyone know whether this update has fixed the camera problems?

From what I can tell the firmware update only slightly fix the issue. A lot of users on the Xda forums are reporting sending their phones back to HTC and having the camera replaced.

...And you're certain this was the update to 4.3/Sense 5.5?

Not sure there, Telecom users are the same boat though - apparently it is only because I bought my phone from overseas that I received the update.

Just checked for a software update, nothing available.. Still on 4.2.2 with 5.0 Sense. Bought from a Telecom store and even using a Telecom 4G sim, not that that matters..

Yeah it's pretty easy to set up to use with your TV

is there an app you use.  I have a vodafone bought One and it has TV on it.  When I try to set it up it doesnt give NZ as an option. Closest is Aussie and it sets up Aussie Freeview.  Doesnt give an option anywhere to set my tv up

The stock HTC app works fine, you just select any Australian location then proceed through. Then set up the IR for whatever you want to use it with. The location part is just for the guide which isn't available in NZ so you can just remove all the channels and just use the remote part of the app. I use mine all the time with no issues, the localisation part throws a lot of people off.

NZ is finally an option in 4.3 with Sense 5.5.
