Crap, this better deal after the launch stuff isn't the normal pattern and isn't helping me with my decision to not buy one. The lack of headphone jack and great vr support still holds me back.

The other question is will better deals follow?

I assume you can stack the 2 degrees discounts with the pb tech deal?

Assuming i hold myself back from buying this i wild be keen on purchasing the stenny earbuds and wireless charging power bank off someone who gets the bundle but doesn't want the free stuff.

To be fair the RRP is the same as a small car. The only thing holding me back is the features they have removed, hole in the screen, headphone jack, gear VR support and Bixby (just kidding about the Bixby bit).

I wanna call out Samsung here for a second.

For those who are planning to use Samsung's trade in service, they're now offering a $150 boost ontop of the value of your phone.

I checked early on during the pre-order deal of the Note 10, and they would offer me around $500 for the Note 9 as a trade in.

So here I'm thinking I'll wait till they do a $300 or double boost as they've done before with previous phones.

So I check the value of the Note 9 this morning and it's $500 WITH the $150 boost on top. The actual trade in value is $350! They've just dropped the actual trade-in values.

That is really slimey of them.

I checked earlier the same with my note 8 prior was i think only $285 now only $185 plus $150. Did see 2 degrees going to be offering trade in but site not working until Tuesday 27th and goes through to same xchange mobile and says site under construction so not sure if going to be any better offer.

Anyone interested in the Momentum in Ears. I can either sell them unopened, or by preference at least be able to give them a listen without losing too much of the value of them. I am going to get the Sony WF-1000MX3's and would consider a swap as well.

I think it's all slightly worse than the Note 9 offers.

Note 9 had $300 boost on the trade in. Even this put my S8+ slightly under the trade me price (although simpler). Given that it's only $150 boost you are a lot better off with trade me or selling on here.

Note 9 also had a $200 discount on the phone if you were a 2 degrees customer (I changed to Skinny for a week before ;-)

Bundle deal about the same or maybe a little better.

The Note 9 didn't have the six months half price cell phone plan but the S8+ did. It was the $70 plan which was less money than the $85 unlimited and it was 25gb of roll over data rather than unlimited. I think the roll over is much more useful because there is only so much data you can use every month.

The "protector" that comes on the front screen of the Note 10, can be just peeled off, right? It's just the usual protective cover on all phones? Seems quite "stuck" on, but if it's an actual screen protector that is supposed to remain on, it's awful.

Does seem more like a proper protector than a simple shipment protector. I dont mind it. I left that and all the side protectors and put it straight into my case (sometimes get scratches inside the case when debree gets in). I have ordered a whitestone dome though.
