K1000716: Please accept my most sincere apologies if I offended you, but as stated it is very common.
Telecom for me are the best of what is on offer, but I would rather take my business elsewhere. They are far too inflexible at times and value for money can be debated, but they do offer great convenience (phone, internet, tivo, and 2 cellphones on one bill). I am not going to buy a SIM, they will give it to me (get ≠ buy).
On the plus side sometime next week I'll be holding a smoking hot handset that can happily switch between any NZ network I can choose, with no binding contracts or bloatware to slow me down. I can't wait.
My contribution was on-topic, unlike yours. I suggest you read paragraph paragraph two of the FUG.
networkn: As far as I can tell, there is no NZ presence, it's all redirected to Australia.
networkn: So far Mobicity have been good with communication, though I think a lot of it is automated. Every day I get an email saying we need to talk to you about your order, we tried to contact you, but no messages have been left, no missed calls registered, and today I got a message similar and they aren't even operating today.

ROFL - you can't even spell your abuse properly. If that's what you think of them, why will you buy a SIM card from them?
You may also want to consider throwing out an apology before a moderator jumps on you - have another look at the FUG you agreed to - specifically item 5...
LOL Overreact much? Hardly even an insult, it's the most commonly used name for them I know of.

nzgeek:vinnieg: I think it might be Tuesday their time now? Due to the 2nd May(Bank holiday in the UK)
Just checked the Clove web site, and they will reopen at 9am on Tue 3rd May (which is 8pm tomorrow night for us). Their end of day will be 4am on our Wed morning.
Clove have also noted that when they re-open they'll be extremely busy shipping out SGS2 units, and not to make any SGS2 shipping-related queries for a while. Depending on how they prioritize their shipping, and the number of orders, it could take a couple of days for phones to start winging their way here.
Update: Just saw that Clove have said they'll need around 3 days to send out all the phones:Clove says:
It will take 3 days due to the volume of orders that we have. We would love to ship all orders the day that stock arrives but we cannot guarantee this so we are estimating 3 days to ship all orders. We have prepared as much as possible for the arrival of stock.

Their IP address resolves back to Hong Kong. No such company registered in NZ.

vinnieg:jahc: According to the package I received, it came from Hong Kong.
That's right, they use drop shipping. What did the customs declaration say? Did it say something like "Galaxy Spica $350NZD" or there abouts?
kiwitrc: No Ambrose they ship them based on what letter your nick on geekzone starts with, so you should be sweet.
