@dauckland I am using one of these for the case (Click Here)  It's nice and thin, I also like the feel of it but won't be to everyones liking.

I have also order this from samsungs website (click here)

I only have a s8 however both come in s8+ sizes on the sites

Can't find any sign of the enhanced messaging function from the S7 so far...will have to look closer I guess, not a huge deal.

They keep moving settings around year to year lol. Wifi direct is back under wifi, Samsung used to have that search feature in the notification tray, that seems to be gone.

I also found battery life for the standard S8 to be better than my s7E..I'm a pretty heavy user.

Been hunting through options this morning and there under audio, the separate app sound settings is so good. Basically once activated you can direct any particular app you choose to output audio to a selected device, while having something else play elsewhere. So right now I have Spotify playing on a Bluetooth speaker, while watching YouTube on the phone.

I see that the HDR functionality is not the Dolby Vision system Netflix use.

Does that affect the functionality of HDR for Netflix?

So far I haven't really completely switched over to my S8+. I want to, but I've been busy. I have made a point of doing some things I normally do on my v20, and the screen really is something special. The device is super quick, which I am grateful for. The fingerprint scanner is just the most stupid placement of a button anywhere.

May depend on if you can speak;

Korean,
US English.

Personally, I am planning to use the S8 without Bixby for an extended period, and will be turning off the Neo-Blinkfeed screen to the left of the homescreen in the initial setup.

Otterbox have impressed by shipping the case I ordered last week so fast that it is due to arrive tomorrow. Not bad delivery speed for US$9.99!

It seems - according to this anyway - that the S8/S8+ won't provide HDR on Netflix yet.

"As you can see in our chat with Netflix reps below, only devices that are certified as being able to display its streaming UHD content can show it in its full glory. Both the Galaxy S8and LG G6 aren't among those just yet, despite being tagged with "Mobile HDR Premium" and "Dolby Vision" displays, respectively."

It arrived.

However. It sits in the delivery box like Schrodinger's Mobile, as yet unopened. May be alive. May be dead.

I had to go out just as it arrived! 😱
