I got an update from PB tech. They have them in warehouse already, but will not ship until tomorrow... I upgraded to Saturday delivery, otherwise need to wait until Monday to receive the parcel. hopefully it will work out...

FWIW - If anyone happened to keep their S-Pen(s) from the Note7, then they are _identical_ to the ones the Note8 uses and work just fine, nice to have a spare. The little USB-C to USB-A adaptor block works just fine as well.

The 2:1 aspect ratio screen is a bit irritating to watch videos on, unless you crop the image a bit you have black bars down the side which wastes screen real-estate, presumably they're pushing hard for people to use the Gear VR unit with it. That said, the screen is amazing, but that's been the case from the S7/Note7 as well, love the AMOLED goodness.

Going by TM - looks like the market is now flooded with "cheap" 256GB mSD cards.

Interestingly, the firmware that was released on Sep 18th has the exact same PDA N950FXXU1AQI1 identifier for TNZ (Spark) as it does for XSA (Australian) - this bodes very well for prompt updates, although that particular update isn't being picked up by my phone as yet (not uncommon for a couple of day delay).

The update should turn up very shortly I'd imagine; "The new update lists improvements to the camera software and wireless charging optimizations."

i just asked my PB tech account manager when they will be shipping the pre orders (mine included) and was told they will be dispatched on the 28/09

sucks for me!

i didnt ask for a explanation i simply reminded him they are going to piss off everyone who preordered it with them shipping it a week late, he didnt reply.

I seriously doubt they care. They know the phone is so popular, if you cancelled someone else would take your place.
