Well I have been using my S8+ for 3 days so far..

Seems good, not a fan of the finger printer reader on the back.. software home button sux too..

But it's smooth.. battery life is excellent.. the wireless charger (from the bundle) is really good..

Screen is so nice.. love the colours.. if I hadn't got this for free I would not have paid for it..

S7E is almost as good.. not far off imo..

OK. I'm in!

So far, very impressive.

Software update running almost immediately (something to do with Bixby and Dex) and Google is busy transferring apps and so on as I type this.

Physically it actually is a TARDIS. Side by side with my Sony XZ, the S8 really is not that much bigger physically but the screen sure is bigger by miles!

Pre ordered on Friday arvo from spark and turned up about 2 hours ago here in chch. Just an orchid grey 8. I love the colour and so far love the phone. Moving up from a standard s6.

Update showing straight away and apps install very quick indeed. Just a matter of going through everything and setting it up how I like it now. I do like the always on as a small glance lets me know the time.

Overall very impressed so far.

Been 24hrs with the s8+ must say love the screen it is simple superb.
Another great thing, there's been no accidently screen touches, as coming from s7 edge I always use to accidently hit back button or side of the screen while holding it(it would scroll the page etc). Thanks Samsung you got it right finally

I'd suggest they are working really hard to get everyones phones to everyone and it's a little luck of the draw as to who gets them and how many of each colour are in the country.

I know how difficult it is to be patient, and I do feel for you, nothing worse than delays with a new toy, but everyone working retail is working hard to get everyone their phones!

They won't be sitting around doing nothing :)

So far the story is one of amazement at the hardware combined with frustration at the moving of accounts etc.

Apple Music refuses to recognise my already existing account and so far I have not solved that one. Newton mail is messing about. My calendar is empty of every event but birthdays. Etc.

The release date is the 5th of May. :)

Which colour/size did you order? Turned out Samsung's distribution partner didn't ship the black or gold S8+ units out on Friday as expected.. All retailers were affected AFAIK. They arrived over the weekend, but without the SD cards, so everyone's been frantically sorting that out today. All colours of S8 and the Orchid Grey S8+ went out Friday as expected, hopefully you've got an email with a tracking number by now.

Courier Post "Grrrrr" Lost mine ... just got a call back from the investigation team.

Last scan on Friday 28th 9PM by the driver (Shipped on 27th) .. and today they are in a situation where they can't find it.

It was last scanned from Highbrook and then in East Tamaki and I live like 10 min from there (Flat Bush)

why me!!!

Guys who are waiting on there orders at pbtec...i picked up my s8+ yesterday minus the 256gb sd card which Samsung stuffed up according to pbtec.i got the power pack bundle, best you ring them up could be sitting there awaiting the card
