NikT:
networkn: There was an option in android that allowed an icon showing the number of notifications for an app to be long pressed to show the notifications on brief as a pop-up type thing. Anyone know how to enable that function? I have the number showing but long press doesn't show the actual notification.

Settings/Notifications/Advanced/App Icon Badges/Notifications on app icons

Awesome Dude! Thanks.

That was exactly what I needed. I wish it was on by default.

I gave up.  I now use Frija as suggested by Echoe.  The BTU (UK) version seems to work fine.  Download it, unzip it, load it into Odin, N20U in download mode and the rest is history.

I'm on UI3.0 (Android 11) with January patch.

I see PB Tech are currently selling the s20 plus 128GB for $1099. Im in need of a new phone. Should i jump on this or will other places do similar? To my uneducated mind it seems like a good deal.

Do you have 5G Ultra version? 5G works with the one you downloaded? @bryang

Yes - I also have the SM-N986B/DS.  In the zip file I used Frija to download, the CSC is "HOME_CSC_OMC_OXM_N986BOXM1CTL5_CL20418097_QB36560431_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar"

I haven't tried the 5G - I'm not sure I've been anywhere that Skinny has 5G.  I'm heading to the Ferry Terminal in downtown AKL tomorrow so I will see if I can get it there.

These are the files in the SM-N986B_1_20201223171035_j4p9axwhdp_fac.zip file;

  • AP_N986BXXS1CUA2_CL20418097_QB36903176_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta_OS11.tar
  • BL_N986BXXS1CUA2_CL20418097_QB36903176_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
  • CP_N986BXXU1CTL5_CP17664438_CL20418097_QB36560431_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
  • CSC_OMC_OXM_N986BOXM1CTL5_CL20418097_QB36560431_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
  • HOME_CSC_OMC_OXM_N986BOXM1CTL5_CL20418097_QB36560431_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar

I use the 'HOME_CSC' to keep current apps and settings.  Not had a problem yet (all usual disclaimers apply...).

@bryang so did you use auto or manual? What did you put into the fields. I have tried what I can find on my phone and it says nothing found.

Haha ok. Will have a look tonight. I put BTU in the country code to get the UK version which works fine.
